Reports & analytics
Explore sales, inventory, customer, and staff reports — and export data — from the Retailos Reports section.
The Reports section gives you a detailed look at how your business is performing — beyond the snapshot on your dashboard.
How it works
Your main dashboard at /app shows the at-a-glance numbers you need every day. When you want to dig deeper, head to /app/reports. Here you'll find structured reports across five areas:
- Sales by period — See revenue and order trends broken down by day, week, month, or a custom date range.
- Sales by product — Find out which products are driving the most revenue and which are underperforming.
- Sales by category — Get a category-level view to understand which parts of your catalogue are working.
- Sales by staff — Track each team member's sales contribution. Useful for commission calculations or performance reviews.
- Sales by location — Compare performance across your stores or sales channels side by side.
- Inventory valuation — See the current value of your stock across locations, helping you make informed purchasing decisions.
- Customer cohorts — Understand retention by grouping customers based on when they first bought from you and tracking their repeat behaviour over time.
Once you're looking at any report, you can export the data for use in a spreadsheet or to share with your accountant or team.
Tips
- Use the dashboard at
/appas your daily check-in, and treat/app/reportsas your weekly or monthly deep-dive habit. - The sales by staff report is most useful when your team members are set up with individual logins, so each sale is attributed correctly.
- Inventory valuation gives you a point-in-time snapshot — run it regularly to stay on top of stock health, especially before placing new purchase orders.
- If you sell across multiple locations, the sales by location report is the fastest way to spot which store needs attention.
Good to know
- If your store is connected to Shopify, sales data from your Shopify channel is synced into Retailos and will appear in your reports alongside offline sales. Retailos syncs two-way with Shopify only — data from other platforms is not pulled in automatically.
- Exported files reflect the filters and date range you have active at the time of export, so set those correctly before downloading.
Troubleshooting
- A report looks blank or incomplete. Check the date range filter — it may be set to a period with no data, or a very narrow window.
- Staff sales aren't showing up correctly. Each sale needs to be recorded against a specific staff member at the point of sale. If sales are unassigned, they won't appear under any individual in the staff report.
- Export isn't downloading. Try a shorter date range first. Very large data sets can take a moment to prepare — if nothing happens after a few seconds, refresh the page and try again.
