Getting started with Retail Commerce OS

Set up your Retail Commerce OS workspace, add products, and invite your team — 60 days free, no card.

Retail Commerce OS gives you a single screen to track revenue, orders, inventory, and customers — so you spend less time switching between tools and more time running your business.

How to set it up

  1. We create your workspace with you. Retail Commerce OS is invite-only while we hand-onboard our first stores, so you don't start from an empty screen: we migrate your products, customers and order history, set the store mode — General Retail or Jewellery — and configure outlets, staff roles and tax settings before your handover call. You get 60 days free, and no card is required.
  1. Explore your dashboard. Once your workspace is ready, head to /app — this is your home base. Revenue, orders, inventory, and customer data all live here on one screen. It's worth spending a few minutes clicking around before you add any data.
  1. Add your products. You have two options:
  • CSV import — prepare a spreadsheet of your products and upload it directly. Good if you're starting fresh or migrating from another system.
  • Connect Shopify — link your Shopify store and Retail Commerce OS will pull your products in automatically via a two-way sync. Any change you make in Retail Commerce OS reflects in Shopify, and vice versa.

Go to /app/products to get started with either option.

  1. Connect Shopify (optional but recommended). If you sell on Shopify, connecting it keeps your inventory and orders in sync automatically. You can do this during onboarding or later from /app/settings/integrations. Remember, Retail Commerce OS syncs two ways with Shopify only — data from other third-party tools won't be read automatically.
  1. Invite your staff. You don't have to manage everything alone. Head to /app/settings/team to invite team members so they can log in and help manage the store from day one.

Good to know

  • Nothing gets removed. Retail Commerce OS is designed to run alongside your existing tools. You don't have to shut anything down or migrate everything before you start.
  • Store mode matters. Choosing between General Retail and Jewellery at setup tailors the workspace to your product types. Pick the one that fits — it shapes how certain fields and reports are organised.
  • Your 60 days free are fully functional. You get access to the complete product for the whole period. No card is involved, so there's no risk in exploring.
  • Shopify is the only two-way sync. If you use other platforms or tools, Retail Commerce OS won't automatically read data from them. You can still import data manually via CSV.

Troubleshooting

  • Products not appearing after CSV import? Double-check that your file matches the required column format. Even a small header mismatch can cause the import to skip rows.
  • Shopify sync not working? Make sure you completed the connection flow fully at /app/settings/integrations — a partially completed setup won't activate the sync.
  • Team member didn't receive an invite? Ask them to check their spam folder. If the email still isn't there, resend the invite from /app/settings/team.
