Loyalty & rewards

Set up points, tiers, and redemptions that work across your online and POS orders automatically.

Loyalty & rewards lets you reward customers every time they buy — in-store or online — and gives them a points balance they can redeem at checkout, all from a single place.

How to set it up

  1. Go to /app and open the Loyalty module from the marketing section.
  2. Define your earn rules — set how many points a customer earns per rupee spent on purchases.
  3. Configure tiers if you want to segment customers (for example, Silver, Gold, Platinum) based on points accumulated. Each tier can carry its own earn multiplier or perks.
  4. Set up redemption rules — decide how many points equal a rupee of discount and where redemptions are allowed at checkout.
  5. Save your settings. The rules go live immediately for both POS and online orders.

How it works

  • Every order — whether placed on your online store or rung up at your POS — is tied to the same customer record. This means points earn and balance updates happen in one place, regardless of where the sale happened.
  • When a customer checks out, their available points balance is visible and can be applied as a discount, based on the redemption rules you set.
  • Customers can see their own points balance on their profile, so they always know where they stand without having to ask your staff.

Good to know

  • Because Retailos syncs two-way with Shopify only, online order data flowing into loyalty comes from your Shopify store. Orders from other platforms are not picked up automatically.
  • Tiers are calculated from the cumulative points on a customer's record, so a customer who shops both in-store and online builds toward tier upgrades faster.
  • Redemption happens at checkout — you do not need to issue separate vouchers or coupon codes for loyalty discounts.
  • Customer-facing balances update as soon as an order is recorded, keeping the information accurate whether your staff checks it on POS or the customer views it online.

Troubleshooting

  • Points not showing on a customer's profile — Check that the customer was identified (by phone number or email) at the time of the order. Anonymous transactions cannot be linked to a loyalty record.
  • Online orders not earning points — Confirm your Shopify sync is active and the connection is healthy. Loyalty points for online orders depend on order data arriving from Shopify.
  • Redemption option not appearing at checkout — Review your redemption rules in /app to make sure a minimum points threshold or other condition is not blocking the option for that customer's current balance.
