Inventory management

View stock levels, make adjustments, track movement history, and keep Shopify inventory in sync across all locations.

Inventory management gives you a single place to monitor and control stock across every location — so your online and in-store numbers always match.

How it works

Retailos keeps your inventory in sync with Shopify automatically. Any change you make in Retailos updates Shopify, and any change made in Shopify updates Retailos. This two-way sync means you never have to manually reconcile your online store with your physical stock.

Head to /app/inventory to get started. Here is what you can do:

  1. View stock levels across locations. See exactly how much of each product is available at each of your locations — warehouse, store, or any other fulfilment point you have set up.
  1. Make adjustments with reasons. When stock changes outside of a sale — a damaged unit, a stock count correction, a supplier top-up — you can adjust the quantity directly. You are prompted to select a reason for every adjustment, which keeps your records clean and auditable.
  1. Spot low-stock items. Low-stock indicators flag products that are running short so you can act before you sell out. Scan the list regularly to stay ahead of reordering.
  1. Review movement history. Every stock movement — sales, adjustments, and incoming stock — is logged. Use the movement history to trace exactly how a product's quantity changed over time.

Good to know

  • Shopify is the only external platform that syncs with Retailos. If you manage inventory in any other tool, those changes will not appear in Retailos automatically.
  • Adjustments are permanent. Once saved, an adjustment is recorded in the movement history. If you make an error, create a correcting adjustment with an appropriate reason.
  • Reasons matter. Logging a clear reason for every adjustment makes your movement history genuinely useful — especially during audits or stock-takes.
  • All locations in one view. You do not need to switch between screens to compare stock at different locations; /app/inventory surfaces everything together.

Troubleshooting

  • Stock in Retailos does not match Shopify. Wait a moment — sync can take a short time to propagate. If the mismatch persists, check whether the product exists and is active in both systems.
  • Low-stock indicator is not showing for a product I expected. Confirm the product is stocked at the location you are checking. A product not assigned to a location will not display a low-stock flag for that location.
  • Movement history is missing an adjustment. Only saved adjustments are logged. If you navigated away before saving, the adjustment was not recorded — create a new one to correct the quantity.
