Delivery management

Create deliveries from orders, assign delivery partners, and track shipment status automatically in Retailos.

Delivery management lets you turn confirmed orders into deliveries, assign them to partners, and track their progress — all without leaving Retailos.

How it works

Retailos gives you two connected screens for delivery management:

  • `/app/delivery` — your main delivery workspace where you create and monitor all shipments.
  • `/app/delivery-partners` — where you manage the partners you assign deliveries to.

Shipment polling runs in the background and updates tracking statuses automatically, so you always see the latest position of an order without refreshing manually.

How to set it up

  1. Add your delivery partners first. Go to /app/delivery-partners and create entries for each partner you use. Give each one a clear name so you can identify them quickly when assigning shipments.
  1. Open the delivery workspace. Navigate to /app/delivery. You will see your orders that are ready to be dispatched.
  1. Create a delivery from an order. Select the order you want to ship and create a delivery against it. This converts the order into an active shipment record.
  1. Assign a delivery partner. Once the delivery is created, assign one of your saved partners to it. This links the shipment to the right partner for tracking and accountability.
  1. Monitor tracking status. Return to /app/delivery at any time to check the current status of each shipment. Retailos polls for updates automatically and reflects the latest tracking information.

Good to know

  • Automatic polling means less manual work. You do not need to chase tracking links or refresh pages — Retailos updates shipment statuses on its own schedule.
  • Delivery partners are reusable. Once a partner is saved in /app/delivery-partners, you can assign them to any future delivery without re-entering their details.
  • Deliveries are linked to orders. Each delivery traces back to the original order, so your order history and fulfillment records stay connected.
  • Shopify orders sync two ways. If your store is connected to Shopify, order data flows between both platforms. Delivery actions you take in Retailos are reflected in your Retailos records; always confirm your Shopify fulfillment settings separately.

Troubleshooting

  • Tracking status is not updating. Polling runs automatically, but there may be a short delay. Wait a few minutes and check /app/delivery again before assuming there is an issue.
  • A delivery partner is missing from the assignment list. Make sure the partner has been created in /app/delivery-partners first. Unsaved partners will not appear as options.
  • Cannot create a delivery for an order. Confirm the order is in a confirmed or fulfillable state. Orders that are cancelled or already fully delivered may not be available for a new delivery.
